Overview


In the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Implantology at Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad, we practice surgeries with expertise ranging from Dentoalveolar surgeries including dental implants & wisdom tooth removal to complex facial trauma. We also treat facial pain, facial pathologies, odontogenic tumors, oral cancer and TMJ disorders.
The centre not only has attracted patients from all over the country but also eminent surgeons of repute to perform surgeries and conduct teaching sessions. The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Implantology is equipped with all the necessary equipments to perform simple as well as complex surgeries.

Events

BLS- Nitrous Oxide Programme

Basic life Support & Nitrous oxide workshop was organised on 30th November & 1st December 2019 at college auditorium, ACDS. The event was attended by a total of 116 students & delegates. Students from other colleges also attended the programme. Eminent speakers gave demonstrations on mannequins after their lecture. Students got the opportunity to interact with speaker over tea. The nitrous oxide demonstration took place at different venues within the college campus. For nitrous oxide demonstration, the students were divided into 8 subgroups groups. As the student to teacher ratio was less, the students got ample time to observe and practice nitrous oxide sedation on fellow subjects. The programme was appreciated by all the attendees.

Two day hands-on workshop-Bicon mini implants

A two-day workshop on BICON-MINI IMPLANTS was conducted at Army College of Dental Sciences, on 19TH& 20Th January 2020 at Sushruta auditorium.

The scheduled lectures by international speakers took place from 9:30 AM and continued till 01:00 PM with a tea break in between.Post lunch session was occupied by a live-surgery demonstration which was performed under the guidance of Dr Vincent J Morgan &Dr Laura Murcko for a better understanding of the procedure and it was witnessed by participants in the auditorium on a LED screen. After a short tea break, the participants attended the hands-on session.

This workshop served a platform to provide an advanced exposure and learning experience in placement of implants in dentistry
